About Us

The laboratory of Cellular Reprogramming (CRL), School of Biotechnology, International University, Vietnam National University of Hochiminh City was established in 2015, leading by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Thuan. The aim of CRL work is to provide high-level research and education for graduate students in the field of Stem Cells, Cell Reprogramming, and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). The Cellular Laboratory is funded by Vietnam National University HoChiMinh City (VNU-HCM) under grant number 1227/QĐ-ĐHQG-KHCN.
Our Lab is interested in genomic and epigenetic reprogramming, and the biological mechanisms that affect how somatic cells is reverted into totipotent cells and pluripotent cells via somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT, cloned animals) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell techniques. CRL also focuses on assisted reproductive technology (ART) by using mouse model, including the early development of embryos; embryonic cell differentiation, ES cells, male and female germline stem cells, cloning animals and transgenic animals for treatment of infertility, preserving endangered animals, and for human bio-organs and human recombination proteins productions.
