High school students visit Cellular Reprogamming Laboratory

On 6 & 7/1/2022, Cellular Reprogramming Laboratory – International University – VNU welcome students from 3 high schools: Thu Duc High School – HCM City, Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School – Tien Giang Province, and Chi Lang High School – Gia Lai Province. On this trip, they have a useful opportunity to see the way Laboratory works and high technologies in Biotechnology.

They have a memorable journey after learning a lot of things relate to high technology in Biotechnology. At CRLab, students see how to use a manipulator system to cut head mouse sperm and injection them to mature mouse oocytes for Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) technique or Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (SCNT) technique. Especially, they introduced applications of cloning techniques in preserving endangered animals, human therapy, and pharming means using animals to produce modified hormones for human therapy by CRL members. Finally, they know about some future careers in Biotechnology after graduation not only in the Animal Biotechnology field but also in other fields such as Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biotechnology, and Pharmacy, …

After this trip, we hope that students could get some knowledge and repair carefully for chose suitable major for their future career.
